Inventory Movement Rules (IMOVE)
The Inventory Movement Rules (or IMOVE for short) enable the automatic updates of perpetual inventory from Location A to Location B based on a given tagged object being seen at a TagNet managed portal or read zone (down to the antenna level). These are used in conjunction with Inventory based binding functions that evaluate the tags current location and applies the applicable rule (if found) for another inventory change. The logic also enables inventory to be transferred (or associated) to a given individual based on their RFID badge tag been seen at the portal. See PEV Users Guide for specific examples.
The hierarchy of how the rules are executed is detailed below:
1.The [From Location] is evaluated for an exact match using the Location/Reader/Antenna
2.Wild card variables (*ANY) are looked at from Level4 up to Level1 to determine a match within the same Location/Reader/Antenna
3.The antenna is then stripped out to look for a match with Location/Reader
4.The reader is then stripped out to look for a match with Location only
5.Finally, the Location is stripped out to see if a generic match
** Within each step above, If there are multiple IMOVE rules meeting the same [From] condition, the rule is processed in collating sequence. Advanced features
To account for those circumstances where a level is introduced that implies ownership, such as a Dept or Clerk. Wild-card variables of *ANY and *SOURCE are used. Note: only one level can be a wild-card variable.
Capacity Feature Used
If using TagTrack where the Location Capacity feature is being used, the IMOVE will not move to a location where the capacity has been exceeded. Refer to Location Setup.
